Tierra de Sol is a collection of chronicles written by the young journalist, Katia Rejon. In her writings she paints an image of the Yucatan peninsula in the XXI century. The voices interviewed talk about a land rich in culture, nature, resources and humanity which finds itself under threat from explotation, climate change, greed and plain oblivion.
This cover illustration depicts the creation of this book as what it realy was, a road trip. One where nature, the sun and the people where a constant sighting all over the road.

Tierra de Sol es un conjunto de crónicas redactadas por la joven periodista yucateca Katia Rejón por varios rincones de la península de Yucatán. En sus textos se dibuja en retrato del estado en pleno siglo XXI. Las voces de sus protagonistas hablan de una tierra rica en cultura, en naturaleza y en humanidad y como esta se ve amenazada por la explotación, el cambio climático o simplemente el olvido.
Esta ilustración de portada presenta este libro como lo que realmente fue, un viaje, un road-trip. Donde el abundante sol, la tupida vegetación y la vida de su gente fue una constante presencia en todo el recorrido.
