There’s not much of a story behind this illustration. The original picture (taken by Bill King) that graced the cover of Chic’s 1979 greatest hits collection captured the group led by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards at the height of their fame.

I just wanted to capture the good vibe and happiness of the original cover. I guess I’d be happy too if I had written bangers like Good Times or Le Freak.
